Charter of Veterans of the 314th Infantry, A.E.F.In the Court of Common Pleas No. 4As of March Term, 1925 In and for the County of Philadelphia No. 13738 To the Honorable the Judges of the Said Court: Be it known, that the subscribers three or more of whom are citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, having associated themselves together for the purposes hereinafter set forth, being desirous of becoming incorporated agreeably to the Act of Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, entitled An Act to Provide for the Incorporation and Regulation of Certain Corporations, approved the 29th day of April, A.D. 1874, and the supplements thereto, do hereby declare, set forth and certify that the following are the purposes, objects, articles and conditions of their said Association and upon which they desire to be incorporated. First: The name of the Corporation shall be Veterans of the 314th Infantry, A.E.F. Second: The purpose for which the Corporation is formed is to commemorate the memory of the members of the 314th Infantry, 79th Division, United States Army, who gave their lives during the World War of 1917. Third: The place where the business of said Corporation is to be transacted is the City of Philadelphia, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Fourth: The Corporation is to have perpetual existence. Fifth: The said Corporation is to have no capital stock or shares of stock. Sixth: Funds for the maintenance of the said Corporation shall be raised by the payment of fees for membership and dues for members which fees and dues shall be assess by the Corporation as its By-laws determine. Seventh: The yearly income of the Corporation other than that derived from real estate will not exceed the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) Eighth: Membership in said Corporation may be required as provided in the By-laws of the said Association.
